Machines can read two kinds of AI signal in an image. Metadata comes off when the image is redrawn from its pixels. A pixel watermark does not, and this tool leaves it alone.

Google hides SynthID in the image data itself. You can't see it, it survives a crop or a re-save, and UnAI My Image does not remove it. A platform that checks for SynthID can still find it in your cleaned file.
A provenance tag that follows the file.
Generators also attach C2PA metadata, a signed record that says 'AI-made' and travels with the file across apps and platforms. This is what UnAI My Image removes, along with EXIF, XMP and IPTC fields.

No. SynthID is a watermark hidden in the pixels themselves, and it survives re-saving the image. This tool doesn't touch it, and neither does any metadata cleaner. If a platform checks for SynthID, it can still find it.
If the label came from metadata in the file, the cleaned copy won't carry it. Platforms can still add a label for other reasons, such as a pixel watermark, their own detection, or a disclosure you make when posting.
Yes. Your browser redraws the image at its full resolution and saves a new file. PNGs are saved losslessly. JPEGs and WebPs are re-saved at 95% quality, which is very hard to tell apart from the original.
